The Jimmy Story:
This is the story of little Jimmy, and his attempts to become a PSD operator in the sandy side of hell.
My little cousin “Jimmy” is in a wheel chair, is missing both legs, one lung, his right arm and his left nipple. He loves America, and wants nothing more than to protect Pringles and bean dip that is going to all the wonderful soldiers in Iraq/Afghanistan. He is not tabbed out, gone to any schools, or “spent any time as a grunt.” He does have a big gold star that says he’s special for graduating kindergarten (on his 7th try, thank you very much), and sometimes that’s all you need. He sent this star with a picture of him and his best friend sparkles, the wonder guppy to all of the major groups mentioned above (Triple C, BW and KBR.) Jimmy anxiously waited by the phone and mailbox each and every day until one responded to his employment query.
This group asked him to come in for testing; he failed and went home crying.
The moral of the story is to give someone hope before you crush all their dreams; it hurts more.
